Gas Prices!!
I've been hearing some serious rumors, I call them rumors because I didn't get the info first hand. I heard from one person(girlfriend) that someone on the phone said gas was $4.50 a gallon in LA. I also heard at the pump, a lady jumped out of the car and started pumping saying that gas was over $5 a gallon in OK. Prices are changing in Charlotte(same woman). Lady behind the counter at gas station "My husband called and said gas was over $5 a gallon in OK, he heard it on the news".
I gotta go fill up every tank and gas can now, just thought I'd let you guys know.. [This message has been edited by rbatson (edited 09-11-2001).] |

Yesterday after work, EVERY gas station in Dallas (that I saw) had line ups to get gas. I was lucky an sneaked in and topped off the tank. Gas was still only $1.63 (93 Octane), but I've heard the same things, $3-$4 a gallon!

Prices here in Indiana went up to 5 bucks. Then the attorney general stepped in and is pissed!! He said for all those who raised there gas prices without reason will be prosecuted. All customers who paid this ungodly amount to save there gas reciepts and mail them in to the attorney general and get a refund.
The gas prices today dropped back down to 1.58 ------------------ 347 Stroker Motor: Balanced, Cobra Transmission, Extrude Ported and Polished Upper and ported Lower, GT40 Milled Ported and Polished Heads, B303 Cam, BBK 1 5/8 Headers, 30lb Bosch Injectors, Holley AFPR, March Underdrive Pulleys, Perma-Cool Fan, 3-Core Radiator, Accel Performance Coil, Accel 300+ Racing Wires, Ram Air, K&N Filter, 73mm Vortech MAF, 70mm TB, FlowMaster Exhaust w/BBK Offroad H-Pipe, Hurst Shifter, 3:55 Gears, Ram Clutch, Cross Drilled Rotors, AC and Smog del, rear seat del. |

I sure hope they prosecute those who gouge the gas prices.
Also, on that note, everyone better watch out for internet scams and bogus "funds" for disaster relief, etc. ------------------ 1997 Black Cobra Convertible. #2788 of 3088 Mostly Stock - Vortech Anyone? 1988 5.0 LX Convertible -Work Car...Few Mods. |

In Oklahoma? Is that what you were saying? A few places raised there prices really high, but are getting prosecuted for price gouging! Gas was $1.55 yesterday, and it is $1.49 today! So in Oklahoma it is $1.49, chill out, if I see one more post like this I'm going to go nuts.

gas wasn't changed at all here in arlington (for those who don't know, the pentagon is IN arlington, not DC like the news idiots are saying), but i have talked to a number of people across the country paying upwards of $4/gallon for gas.
