![]() I have only been a member for a month or so & only posted one time, but have read most all post & have come to the conclusion that most in here are not here to help but would rather b!tch then help. You guys or gals go nuts when someone post about some geek on a motorcycle, [60+] but a post looking for help on a mustang is lucky to get a couple replies, If ford spent as much energy on thier products as you guys do b!tching maybe they could put out a quality product. Don't get me wrong, I am buy [Made in the USA] as much as the next guy. Have been mechanic for over twenty years & owned my own shop for twelve but there is a problem when a industry has issues for over 10 years & dont fix them. Have seen more repeated problems with american cars then any manufacturer,Ignition modules, cracked heads, head liners falling, camshafts in 305-350 etc. Have owned over a dozen fords in the last ten years including two gt & two cobras & will continue to buy ford but maybe we need to spend more time on quality so we can produce cars that are second to none & less time bashing ricers

![]() I haven't read the whole ricer bike thing because I'm not that intrested in it. I do know from what I read that people are expressing their opinions about bikes. Most people have opionions. Not everyone knows everything about mustang tech. Therefore only some reply.Anyway, If you've been working on cars for over 20 years, then I guess you can start answering everyones tech questions. Hmmmm? How about helping instead of Bit$%ing? Isn't that want your complaining about? the complainers? How about sharing some of your 20 years worth of knowlege instead of whineing about people with opinions? Good idea?

![]() Everyone has their own opinions, and on here we can all express them. If we didn't have opinions this world would be a very boring place. Sounds like you need to take some of your own advice there bud. ;o) I've seen a few post go to 150+. It's all in good fun, and that is what this message board is about.

Let me concur with the previous posts and also attempt to clear up any possible misconceptions you may have regarding the use of the forums on Mustang Works. First, Mustang Works Online has a long record of service to it's members over the years (beginning in 1995) and we need apologize to no one, but I think you may misunderstand the purpose of our various forums. let me help you. The Blue Oval Lounge - this forum - is a 'catch-all', general forum for whatever folks want to discuss, including politics, music, motorcycles and so on. Some posts involve cars, some do not, as you can see. It's not a tech forum and when the occasional tech question is asked, I moved it to the Windsor Power (tech) forum, where it belongs. When a general-interest question is posted on the Windsor Power forum (i.e. "Why Chevys Suck!" would be a good example), I move that post to the Blue Oval Lounge, where it belongs. Obviously, it's easier to get replies to simple 'opinion' questions because, well, everybody has an opinion. We've had 20 or 30 replies to questions about what colors look best on such-and-such a body style Mustang or what's a good brand of gas. Our political discussions have gone to near 100 posts when it got intense. Tech questions are harder, of course. It's difficult to answer questions that start with 'Why is my car slow' or 'Why won't my car start after I changed the heads and intake and it sat for three weeks'? We're not familiar with every single engine combination and of course, diagnosing from afar - over the internet - is very tricky. How many customers do you have that want a 'phone diagnosis' and you tell them that 'They have to bring it in' for you to diagnose the problem? Most, I would bet. I know that Mustang Works does very well in helping Mustangers diagnosing various problems, advising them on the best parts combinations, sources and brands as well as simply offering general advice on planning performance upgrades and modifications. We have a five-year track record to prove it. Our members are professional mechanics, shade-tree mechanics, engineers and engineering students as well as a bunch of just plain knowledgable folks that are willing to help other Mustang owners, for free. Yes, we complain a lot. That's human nature and it's easy on the internet, where everyone can be anonymous. I spend time on other (political) websites and see 80% negative posts, no matter the subject. Everybody is angry or at least annoyed with something. Your post; 'Grumpier Old Men' is a complaining post, too, isn't it? Hmmmm. I think we have some irony here. I suggest, as others have, that you visit the Windsor Power forum more often and start contributing whatever information you can. With your 20 years of experience, that should be ample. We'll appreciate the input, I can assure you. Thanks for your comments; hope this clears up some possible misconceptions you may have had. ------------------ Mr. 5.0 Messageboard Administrator |

![]() My frustration is with ford not this site,my first post was not a tech guestion but an opinion on my cobra & was really looking for some good advice, I bought a gt conv with 4000 miles on it & had nothing but trouble with it. when ford did 0% financing I traded it in at a LOSS to get this perf red cobra conv, the only year cobra made in this color, possible rare, & within two weeks the motor goes bad. I dont feel the car will hold near as good of value with a replacement engine in it not to mention letting some dealer flunky do the engine swap. I just feel ford should have to supply me with an original cobra like I paid for and will probably go legal before all is done. sorry if I offended anyone.
