steering rack??
Has anyone here replaced their steering rack and pinion with a Pepboys or Advanced Auto parts unit?
They only show a 2 1/2 turns to lock rack and the Mustang Technical Reference book says 87-93 Mustangs used 2 1/4 turns to lock.. is it the same? do I just move the clips over ?? I'm afraid to buy it and then find out it doesn't fit right? Tom

I replaced mine with an Autozone sport version of it. It still has the stock locks to it. The only difference between the one that I have on and the stock one is that is it a little stiffer when turning (the aftermarket one). I like a stiff sterring so that is why I went with that. I would of liked to go with the Flaming River manual rack but I took into consideration if I decide to sell it in the future.
