Cool Don't laugh at me, but...

...I met one of my Mustang heroes at the drag strip last night. It's a guy with a red '99-2001 Cobra with Steeda lowering suspension and Steeda (I think) wing/spoiler. Car looks AWESOME and has gotta be running at LEAST mid 12s on street tires (he has to come off the line mega-easy or else he'll be spinning all the way through the 1/8th mile.

Heh, heh. To tell the truth, he smoked me on the road about a year earlier. Needless to say, he thoroughly remembered the event . Anyway, he's a really cool guy and I invited him here at MW.

Also, the track seemed super slippery last night . Literally, almost every 3-5th car was getting squirrly (almost losing it--but no wrecks, thank God) or blowing something on the track, which was followed by 5-15 minute session of track inspecting and cleaning.... IF YOU BLOW SOMETHING PLEASE PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE TRACK. Don't run all the lenght leaking fluid . Some guys just don't seem to get it....

...Hmmm I kinda got of subject.... Oh well

Wink Heroics at the track

We all have our heros.

Sometimes they drive fast Mustangs. No problem there and no need to apologize.

Why would we laugh at you ? We all have our heroes. When I grew up my racing hero was Kenny Bernstein..I used to race with him when he first started, and he taught me a few things. He is still my hero today.
So don't feel that way, most of us here would never laugh at you for the way you feel.

Thumbs up

Thanks guys .

He's just one of the stangers I wanted to talk to for a while (but he was so elusive), not that I wanted to be just like him when I grow up or something....

Since he smoked me on the street, I would see his car from a distance like once every 6 months--like a Phantom Cobra (hey, that's a good username for some one )-- going down the road just enough so I could only get a glimpse of it. When I talked with him, dude was real cool and easy to get along with.
