Default Painting my car

After 2 weeks of bodywork in the garage, My car is now at the paintshop getting a fresh coat of Titanium metallic.

I put on a glass hatch and could not live with having a Mustang that is 3 colors!

Gone is the Barney purple!

Thanks for the compliments. Kinda brings a tear to my eye.

I got the car back and it looks freakin' awesome. That Titanium color looks so wicked. Especially at night with the parking lights on.

I did the bodywork and taping myself and had Maaco spray it. I was a little concerned about their "production" quality, but I am 200% satisfied. I did not want to spend 2,000 or so on a paint job, so I took a chance.

What is great is that I got it done for 480.00. Can't beat that!

I'll post some pics as soon as I scoop up my friends digital camera.

Hmmm. Thanks for that useful info. That is what I planned on doing to get it painted. Another friend of mine did that also (do own body work then let Maaco spray it) so this gives me a good amount of encouragement to carry on with my plan in the future with this method.

I always wanted my car titanium if I ever had to repaint it. Now it's white with a blue pearl in it, and it does need repainted. The cool thing is, is that I've NEVER seen another mustang like mine!

Better than the $99 Earl Schieb (sp?) special!

exgm - Titanium is one of my favorite colors! Nice choice. Is it the same titanium as Ford used back in the 90's on Mustang's?

Yup, the color is the Ford titanium. Every once in a while I see a notch in that color.
