![]() Sounds to me like you have something wired wrong or don't have it grounded right. This is the exact reason I always suggest crutchfield for car audio. Did the radio work?

![]() I inspected everything and the cd player works fine the old one was internal damage not on the car...I unplugged my bat. for like 30 minutes to reset the computer and it still didnt fix it the only thing I am worried about is the tach..I cant hear it over the system I know I could turn it down but whats the point in having at least 1000 bucks in a system and not turning it up...I hope to replace this motor in about 6 months but it has to last me till then so I need to get this fixed

![]() If it is the ignition switch, you may want to call your Ford dealer and see if your car would be covered by a recall they had on the igniton switch. Its a heck of a coincidence that it just started happening after the stereo install. I hope that is all it is..

![]() if your after market tach went out too, I'm thinking it is a wiring prob. Sounds like something grounded out. Uninstall the cd player and look at all the wires. I think your after market tack goes straight to your coil, doesn't even go through the comp.

![]() ![]() ![]() when I got mine off there was a crak in the bottom and the "guts" of it had melted and had "dripped" out of this crak to leave a nice little trail of melted plastic down my motor ![]() ![]()
