Post I may be selling my car (Please Read)

My brother’s roommate just offered me 12,000 dollars for my car and I know he has the money.

Here is the problem; I love that car and I know I should sell it but I told the guy I would have to think about it. What do you think I should do?

If I do sell it I will buy another mustang.

I know where you are comming from there!!
That's always a tough choice but then again you can take that money and build another mustang with different mods. Maybe build one with a supercharger. Just build something different and I am sure you will fall in love with that car also.
Building the car is half the fun in my opinion.

I can't advise you on this. Are you wanting another car? $12,000 is a large amount for a 91 LX, but yours isn't any normal LX.

At the same time, what would you get if you sold it? If you were planning on buying another Fox, I'd say no.

If you wanted an SN95 GT, then maybe. The 12k could get you a 1994-1995 5.0 and some mods pretty easy. Stepping up to a newer car; however, will require additional funds for something with much less kick in the pants.

Good luck, man, whatever you decide.

Question

Why do you "know" you should sell it? Are you getting tired of it??? Well crap, if you've had it for quite some time and it's becoming a bore, then sell it and use the money towards something that better suits you.

I wouldn't think about selling my car if I were at the point you are with it. I'd only be thinking about how to get it into the mid 11s. But then again, I don't know your position and why it is that you think you "know" you should sell it.

Is this person worthy of a 12-second Mustang? Obviously, you are worthy, since you built it. But, if this guy is just going to drive it into the dirt, or smoke the tires on his way to a mid-14 second pass, well, that'd just be a crime.
I have no real point, I just want your car. My 'better half' thinks we need money for food, shelter, luxuries like that. Rrrrrrr...

I was thinking that 12,000 is a lot of money and I could probably build something as fast or faster with that much cash but I have put a lot of time and work into that car; not to mention money. I am going to have to give it some thought.

If I do sell it, what do you think I should get.

Cool

It all has to do with what the car is worth to you, not him. If you do decide to sell it, i would go with #1.....and go BALLS TO THE WALLS with it! Can you count to 408 ? Light Em Up!!

I totally agree with Noslow5.0, notch looks great when their done right. The 408 would be a great motor and just imagine going with a supercharger and or a 150 shot.

IF you do sell it, go with #1. You can build a killer 377 with a supercharger for that kind of cash.

I can count to 408 but I can also count to 426! How bout putting a 347 stroker in a Miata and squeezing a 200 shot? Just put slicks on it and GO GO GO!

I am leaning towards the notch and 393 stroker and maybe a supercharger.
Unless I go with carburetion and then I will go 393 and NOS.

What type of heads do you think I should get if I go with the 393?

I am starting to like this idea.
Maybe I should not have given him to long to think about it.
I hope he buys it; I will know Saturday when I see him again.

Well, seems like you are bored with it. If so, why get the same thing all over again? If you're not happy with the notch you got, scratch #1 and 2. Go with #3a (HARDTOP).
