I seen the previews and its gonna be awesome. Unfortunatly I believe it will be a strictly rice movie. Although the scene in the previews when the charger pulls the front tires and lights up the rears is freakin badd. I hope to see it soon but it will take a while for it to come out in the backward town I am from.

Don't get your hopes up to see some Stangs man. Looks like more of a ricer movie...notice the only domestic they show in the previews flips and blows up? Wonder if that's a sign...

Yeah. The "heros" drive an orange Supra, an eclipse, and a Civic, and the bad guys are on motorcycles.

There may be some interesting scenes of cars flipping and exploding and what not, but I wouldn't expect anything too redeeming coming from this movie, and lots and lots of rice boyz in the parking lot outside.

I say we start a fund that we use to make our own movie. One stipulation ABSOLUTELY NO RICE. I think we could do it, really if you think about it only takes a couple hundred million to make a movie. We could all converge in a centrally located city for what is supposed to be a "Car show and Sat. night cruise" (quotations for sarcasm). Film all the street races that take place and edit them into a movie. Of course it would help to a couple crashes so wh could use ricers for those scenes but not the stangs. We could even let some vette's and fireturds in it just for equality purposes. I say lets do it. We could call it "Faster and more Furious than Uncle Bens" Ha Ha Ha.

Isn't F&F supposed to be set in California? That would make sense, since I can't see anybody around where I live other than 16-year-olds driving mommy's civic wanting to see it.

pony_power_90: that's a great idea, dude! Even if it is just a spoof on F&F, it'd be cool to try. Who would be the bad guys, a bunch of F-body drivers? Hehehehe Imports & explosions happening to them would be the topper. All you'd need is a digital camcorder and some editing software, some Godsmack for theme music, etc., and you'd have a feature film. Add some Flash animation using shots from riceboypage.com and we have a winner.

Detroit (aka Motor City ) would be the best place for filming this summer if you wanna keep it American and see some truly fast street racing. Dan's near there, and soon as the clutch is all worked out on Project Death Machine, he could be the hero of the film.

As far as "Faster and More Furious than Uncle Ben's," BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

I found the car on the net last summer..

It was a older guy who really wasn't into cars but his wife liked it.

Totally stock.. Dealership was the only people to touch it.

When I called him on it he was more concerend about who was buying it then how much money he wanted for it.

The car to this day has never seen Rain.

Yeah, that movie looks like it's going to have alot of rice in it, but did you see that late 60's Blown Cuda that pops wheelies? I'm going just to see that and i'll watch anything fast race (i'm sure they can use some of that newfangled computer technology to make the rice look fast...or close to it). I'm not gonna care much for the "plot" but as long as there's lots of racing and extreme car manuevers it should be worth the matinee price i'll pay. If only the makers of this movie had enough good taste to add mustangs and even camaros/firebirds.....oh well.

Yeah...it looks decent. The sad thing is that the Charger pulling the wheel stand isn't doing it for real. Look close during the previews and you can see a couple bars throwing the front end up. But oh well...a fast car is a fast car no matter who makes it. They're also selling that orange Supra that races the Charger for $90K online. 700hp too. Not too shabby for a FWD ricer.

When i first heard about this movie a couple months ago, i went to the website and saw that it looked like a pretty ricy movie.

They started running commercials for it last week, and it looks absolutely HORRIBLY RICY, disgustingly ricy. I'm still gonna see it, but its crazy nasty horrible rice.

Now if they started showing FWD cars doing wheel stands, I'd probably worry.

That's the problem with going to see movies that you're familiar with the topic. I can't stand movies about computers since they do things that are really stupid and unbelievable to anyone who knows something about them. One good example is War Games. Do people really believe that you can hack a password one random character at a time?

In every movie I've ever seen that envolves finding a password they do exactly the same thing. Wonder what "new spin" SWORDFISH will provide?

A good movie to make would be "Bullitt part 2" of course that wont happen, but with a modern bullitt on nos, in a car chase seen, outrunning a supra or some kind of import..lol, anyways i've chatted with a couple guys that actually saw sneak previews of F'F, and some liked it, and some said it looked dumb, like a couple fake scenes, and nothing but blow off valve, wastegate turbo sounds throughout the movie, but supposedly at the end, the main character drives off in a domestic car .
oh and one guy said the charger is supposed to be a 9 sec car, but can't rely on this info too much, either way i want to see it.

Thumbs down

I don't mind the import cars, and I'm always up for a good race or chase scene, however, I have to give this film a thumbs down.

Why? Because it tries to make these street racers look like they're part of the 'thug life'. Now every parent and local politician who doesn't know a damn thing about cars or hot rodding will assume that if you're under 30 and driving a cool modified car, you're up to something bad. They won't differentiate between imports and domestics, either. I can already hear the 'anti-cruising' legislation coming...
