going on vacation...travel advice needed

I am leaving for Indiana tomorrow morning to visit a niece. I will be going through Ohio.
Are thre any spots to avoid for traffic or speed traps? Should I bypass Cincinati and Akron or are they ok to travel through?
Any info or tips would be appreciated.

What will you be driving to Indiana? You are going to Columbus right?
