Post They came today

My headers and intake that is. I ordered a set of long tubes with 1-3/4" primarys, and a Weiand Stealth intake for the drag car. I ordered them Tuesday and they came today. Summit Racing is getting faster and faster. I got the Heddman hedders. I didnt get the ceramic coating. We have had bad luck with that stuff on the pulling trucks so I opted to stay away and it was an extra $184 dollars. Just thought I'd share the joy.

I work for a frined of mine sometimes when he gets behind. He has his own business as a mechanic. He has a Pro Stock Pulling Truck, 480 cid, aluminum heads, hard block, and a bunch of other goodies for that prot. He runs alchol and the rules state the headers MUST exhaust UPWARDS through the hood. His have faded and flaked off. Granted they get real damn hot. They shouldnt flake, I can understand a little fading from being exposed to the sun and weather more than underhood headers but not the flaking. He has gotten his recoated and has a warranty to get them recoated an many times as he needs. But it's just a pain in the butt to have to ship them off to have them redone.

i have never heard of problems with the coating before. His headers must get really hot for them to flake like that. I love to get new parts like that. I got my dads whole garage full of new parts for when i get home of stuff to put on the car.
