Lightbulb Please read, I need help!

I'm in the process of looking for new shocks and struts for my 88'GT drop top. All I have been able to come up with is KYB's. But should I go with the standard or adjustable ones? Or should I go with a different brand name? Any help would be great, so please help me. I'm new at this performance world but want to learn desperitly. I will be adding lowering springs also. I only want to go about 2" lower. Should I do that all at the same time(replace shocks, struts, springs)? Is there a kit for all of it thats good? Please help!
