Default This kind of has to with sketches...

When I put my car in shows next summer, I'm going to get a piece of sheet metal and cut a sill-o-wet (haha...I have no clue how to spell it, so i just sounded it out!!) of my car and paint it the same color as my car. And put all my stickers from Summit, Edelbrock, Moroso, Lakewood, etc. on it. Then I'm going to weld some rebar to the back of it and stake it into the ground next to my car. Should add a little touch of time spent and get a little more attention from the judges.....

Thumbs up Not too bad

I have one drawing of a 91-93 GT that I did. It is similar to yours in a way except it is not cartoonish.

I'll have to get that scanned in the next few days and post it. (Its finals week and I don't have a lot of time)

I love drawing. I took a drawing class last year for a semester as a filler course. It actually turned out to be one of my favorite classes. I drew a picture of Merlin (the Wizard), holding his book. I'm very proud of that drawing. I actually won a couple minor prizes during "Fine Arts Week" here. Nothing special though... I have it hanging up in my room. I would scan it but it's too big....maybe I could do the main section of it though....I might do that sometime if I'm EXTREMELY bored.....

Thumbs up Good sketches.

ONmy3rdStang (Man gotta find a way to shorten that.) Those arent bad. What kind of paper do you draw on, it looks like cold press paper.

I usually do my painting (Guache, and water color) on cold press illustration board. I love the texture of the board, it seems to "grab" the pencil lead so much better, plus it makes it easier to control the paint if I'm doing a painting.

I dont know how it would work with colored pencil though, the texture of the paper/illustration board might have an undesirable affect.

Do you have any more work to show? I love art, I majored in it in college and have a degree in it. I've sold a few (2) of my pieces to a dealership here in town, when it was called Purvis Brothers Ford.

Most of my pieces are to big to scan. I'll have to take them out of there frames and shoot pictures of them. 75% of my work is car related. From 1930 Cord L-29's to Caroll Shelby to Geoffrey Bodine to 57 Ford Fairlanes.

Nice work, show us more.

It's weird, I never have drawn a mustang before, but I do have some killer Ford 4x4's. If I had a scanner, I'd put them on here, maybe a pic of it would work.

=) Very Nice! I have a pic of the back end of my stang I drew at school when I was bored. I did it quick but for me I was actually quite surprised how it came out looking not half bad. I'll check my binder today and try to get it scanned.
