Kidney stones to this day remain a medical mystery. There is no cure or preventive measures to take. Just drink a lot of water to flush them out of your system before they become large and lodged. I get them at least once every 2 years or so and wish that I have never experienced the ungodly pain associated with them.

Sorry to hear about that man, that really sucks.

I had to live with a stomach ulcer for about 2 years; I know that is not the same but I hurt every night and I had to give up my favorite food for a while "hot wings". But I am better now.
Good luck man, Hope you feel better.

it takes anywhere from a day to a few weeks for them to pass. they inject dye into your blood stream and then take x-rays to determine size and location of the stones. they then decided if surgery is what is required to dislodge them. not a very pleasnt ordeal. before they inject the dye the give you some med that makes you feel like you are going to jump out of your skin. and then the good med comes. demerol or morphine, i prefer demerol it is good stuff. coming down off of the meds is tough and painful

Isnt kidney stones a build up of the body's minerals?? Anyway I am glad you got them out. I can only imagine the pain you were in. Hope you get well soon. Take care

Default stones

I passed one and It is more painful than childbirth according to a woman who had done both. I am definetly grateful for demarol as without it or another drug like it suicide would be hard to pass up. Anyway staying hydrated is suppose to help and don't eat too many rolaids, etc.
