Wow. That's just nuts! A 607 fuelie Ford...cool.
Do you really think he's got $30K in the motor? Imagine that thing in a little fox body coupe. That would be unique and scary all at the same time. E

One question...what's up with using a timing belt on an engine capable of producing that kinda power?? Seems like a gear drive or strong-as-hell chain would be the way to go....

Good observation, Nathan. I didn't even think of that until you mentioned it.
Didn't it say that it was a Danny Bee belt drive setup? Is that supposed to be more accurate than a timing chain setup? And what about a gear drive? Aren't those supposed to be the most accurate? E

I haven't really done any check on the Danny Bee systems...they must be pretty bad ***.
Also, I guess it allows pretty quick and simple adjustment of cam timing. Interesting. --nathan

Thanks. Now I have to wipe a bunch of drool off my roomates keyboard.
That engine would be fun in a car that weighed 6000 lbs, let alone in a 3000 lb Mustang.

I think the purpose for the belt system is to always keep good close timing even with alot of miles. It works like (I dare say) al lthese little foriegn cars, thats why they run for so long. The belt wears out but the tensioner always holds tight to keep accurate valve timing. With a chain and even a gear, metal to metal wears faster we cant deny that.

Woh' that is a sweet *** engine! If you put that in a fox body and stepped on it, your front wheels would pick up so far up you'd do a backflip.
That is mad power!
