Project 2ND COMING: '69 Fastback Update!
The bodywork and pre-paint preparation is coming along pretty nicely. The back 2/3's of the car is block sanded and ready to be sprayed except for the driver's side quarter panel. Check out the pics. Just did this tonight.
But since I'm paying for repairs on my crappy Nissan pickup and I bought a '88 Ranger it's really cutting the cash flow into the Stang. It's still going to get painted in a couple weeks, and the exterior will be finished for the most part, but the interior will not be finished as soon. The parts for the fold down rear seat are very expensive, and I have to get new seat skins, dash cap, headliner, and a few other various parts. I'm still going to get the car driveable so I can cruise in it as soon as possible, but the interior's not going to be perfect. I'll probably have to keep it out of the Rod 'N' Roll car show and cruise which is the first weekend of October unless I can get ahold of some more money before then! |

Looking sweet man, I've decided not to get my body work and paint done tell October or so. I figure they can have it for the winter that way I got a extra garage space. =) It doesn't need major work, just new door skins, and alittle body work on the rear 1/4 panel, and then a fresh paint job. So it's all good.

Hey Ben you want to do the body work on my car when you finish with yours. Where are you looking at for the fold down seat i had no idea that they where so expensive. I have to leave for six months again but should be back sometime in october. I might be get ridding of mine. When i get back i am going to go to a full on drag car so i wont be needing it.

Wait a sec....did I say expensive and hard to find? I meant worthless and I could get them anywhere! So, I might as well take the parts off your hands for you Greg!
No, but seriously, in parts catalogs and on e-bay all the parts are expensive as crap. |
