It has all the correct wheels with no curb damage. I'd buy it, but for more then 1,000, and thats if it runs good.

If i was into gm, then i'd probly buy it. the ws6 4 wheel disc brake is a rare option back then. from the way the ad is it looks like a tired car that needs a good restoration and could be worth the money . maybe $1500-$2000

Actually, I think noting that the rims are not damaged is pretty important. Wheels can be expensive...I don't know if those are hard to find or not, but replacing rimz can still add up to a good amount. I like the car too, too bad they weren't fast enough for that displacement Still...you could have a Smokey and the Bandit car!!

Smokey and the Bandit car?
yes please. that was a really cool car, and quite the head turner cause you don't see a vintage Trans Am that much anymore. i'd buy one if i had the cash and the patience to track one down. but the one in the ad? nnnaaa

If ya remember, I'm the guy that got to do a nice smoky burnout in one of the original Smokey and the Bandit cars. It was one that my boss get from a Burt Reynolds auction down here. I wanted that car soooo bad... It was perfect, and garage kept, and she got 12,000.00 for it I believe. I really wanted it!

PONCHO!
PONCHO ALL THE WAY BABY!! I would buy it. not more than $600 bucks though! 77 was the first Bandit car, and in my opinion, the best looking for the 2nd generation.

As far as the one on eBay, no thanks. I wouldn't pay $100 for it. In fact, I don't even think I'd take it for free. It needs too much. The engine it has is great until 75,000 miles, then it's disposable. The Olds 403 is a great engine when it's young, and has tons of potential, but their bore is so large, they really can't be successfully rebuilt, unless you do it early. It needs an interior and paint, an engine, and who knows what else. More work than it's worth. Now, if I found another '77 with a clean body, that would be different. Take care, -Chris

193 horsepower, 320 ft-lbs of torque, and a three speed. pretty cool! theres one kinda near me that must be worth at least 50 bucks. that would be a fun car to buy, abuse for a weekend, then leave on the side of the road.

I know I might get flamed for this because its a somewhat desirable car, but if the price was right, and it was near by. I'd buy it.
I'd then gut it, and take out the windows. Make it so it will run long enough for a Saturday night Enduro Race and have some fun. |

those 70's & 80's bird's & camaro door's are way too long & way too heavy ,takes two people to close them if the hinge pin's are still holding up - not, that's one reason ,beside's engine reliability ,that i switched to ford

Marty-
You are soooo right! I had forgotten about that! With power windows, my doors felt as heavy as an engine! probably weren't, but they sure felt like it. Take care, -Chris
