Default Time for another....

...update on Project: 2nd Coming!

It's coming along great. It should be ready for paint in about 2 weeks. A lot was accomplished the past few days.

On Friday I took a trip to Denver. There is a company there called Colorado Mustang Specialists, Inc. It's in Aurora, actually. This place was AWESOME! I first pull up and my draw dropped immediately. I saw a BEAUTIFUL Cobra sitting outside for sale. This thing is just awesome, it's a reddish-orange color, six speed, leather....boner. Sitting right next to it was a '95 GT that was a similar color, but a little more orange. It was also immaculate.

I walk inside and there sits a candyapple red '64 1/2 vert with a 260. Right next to it was a pale yellow '67 vert with a EFI 5.0. Along the wall there are a few engines. I walk up and look at them. They had a couple stock 5.0s with T-5s hooked up, a 5.0 out of a Cobra, and then I saw the 427--six pack, tunnel ram intake, aluminum heads, Cobra oil pan/valve covers... Ohhh....what a beautiful engine...

Anyways, this place was like a virtual catalog. They had EVERYTHING! They had a couple sets of Bullitt wheels on display, a reproduction shaker hood scoop setup on a 351W, all the literature on any Mustang you could possibly need, you name it, they had it. PLUS they have the "world's largest" Mustang salvage yard!!!

I bought a used windshield, used factory tinted door glass, stainless steel strip that goes on the rear of the door glass, new reproduction hood, wiring harness for my hood scoop turn signals, and new chrome windshield trim and rear window trim.

I got the hood sanded and primed and put it on the car. My dad finished up his repair of the quarter panel that I put pictures of on here a couple weeks ago. The guy who's painting it is putting the windshield in for us. We'll do the door glass ourselves.

All that's left is block sanding and minor bodywork. It's really winding down! Maybe in about three weeks or so I'll have a yellow car!

Sounds good bud, mine is moving along really slowly. I've been waiting for parts forever. Right now I'm just waiting for my seats to come back so I can start taking it to get things done and such. I'm going to go wash her now aslong as it's fairly warm out there, so I'll take plenty of pictures of her. I'm getting her painted in the fall so that I'll have another garage spot free during the winter. When she is completly done I'll make my way to come see you, or meet you somewhere and we could go for a cruise. Are you painting your car all yellow or putting the gloss or flat black hood and such?

I was thinking of painting my car like this one

Take it Easy,
Post some pics if you get a chance.

Dang it.....I accidentally made 2 threads....my bad...I attached the pic to the other one, but it didn't work on this one. Here's the pic...

I'm painting it all yellow, no black stripes or anything. I do plan on adding a black rear spoiler, black rear window louvers, and a black chin spoiler when I get the money and the interior's all done.

Here's a pic of the front half of the car. I got the new hood on there and I just layed the hood scoop on there to see what it's gonna look like. This is the original hood scoop from this car. It has the turn signals in the back of it and everything.

Looks good wish I had the room to do all my work myself. I also wish I had more money, and warmer weather.

Thanks guys. It's pretty nice to have a double car garage. My cousin and I are building a 10' X 16' shed in our back yard so we'll free up even more room in the garage then!

The weather has been great here lately. It's 10:30 a.m. right now and it's already 70 degrees! It's windy as crap though...I hate the wind...Nebraska has a TON of wind!

Yeah, my coupe did have the wide rear window trim, but I sold all of that stuff too! He might try Classic Mustang Parts of Oklahoma, that's where I bought the trim used. I'm sure they could get him some of the hold down clips.
