What brand exhaust do you recommend?
What brand exhaust sounds the best? I've currently got Flows on my '90 LX 5.0, but I'm looking for a different sound, any recommendation? I've yet to hear a Mustang with Borla but I've heard people say they sounded great...thanks for any input.

Get an Offroad H pipe on those flowmasters and you'll be happy.

I switched last year from my flowmasters to a Mac power chamber H pipe & cat back, all 3". I love it! It sounds nasty at high rev's.

Bassani
You could try Bassani mufflers. Not to many people have them and they will give you a different sound.

flowmasters
stick with the flowmasters. they sound great, switch to an X-pipe. if you have an H-pipe or just lower your car to get out of emissions and just let the exhaust dump. that is what i did, and they sound mean. but that was with a 5.4L motor. the sound is alot different than a 4.6

Can anyone describe the sound difference in the X pipe versus the H pipe? Do you know of anywhere on the Internet I can hear the difference too? Thanks.

soemthing you gotta hear
an X-pipe is loud. kinda sounds like a Cobra type R. an H-pipe is not as deep of a sound as an X pipe, in my humble opinion. go with the flowmasters. X or H they both sound great.

X-pipe and Dynomax Ultraflows. Quiet at idle and screams at WOT.
