Thumbs up NMRA in Columbus this weekend

That's right. NMRA will be in C-Bus May 3, 4 & 5.

Every year I make this post to see how many are going to attend and I usually get about 3 replies. But, I'll post it again to see who is planning on attending this great event. Last year was great. A nice crowd, good sized vendor area, and great racing.

I will be there on Saturday.

So, are you going?

I might drive out there Saturday morning, I havent really decided yet. It depends on how work goes. I will definately be at WFC in 2 weeks, and was planning on making U.S. 141 as well. (until they cancelled it)

We will be debuting my friends 91 Real Streeter at WFC. Its a Vortech car equipped with my longblock. It should be fun!

Rudy Rouweyha (MW Feature Editor), Steve Burnard (BOL Moderator), and myself will all be at the NMRA event in Columbus this coming weekend. Look for us in MW shirts. I may even bring drive or bring the Mustang, I am not sure yet.

Regardless, we should also be at Hooters for the NMRA party on Friday night too.

They have them at every NMRA event. If I remember correctly they are on Sundays between elimination rounds.

Great to hear that you guys are planning on going. It's going to be a great time. As of this morning, the local weather folks are calling for highs in the low 70's and sun on Saturday. Sounds like good racing weather.

Regarding the burnout contest, I have the offical program in front of me that states there will be a burn out contest, it just doesn't say when. However, if memory serves correctly, last year there was a burnout contest on Saturday.

Hooters sounds like a great time, but I promised my wife I would help clean the house and watch our little guy while she exercises.

I'll definately be looking for you guys with the MW T-shirts. If I see you, I'll just introduce myself as "302 LX Eric" from MW. I knew I should have purchased a MW T-shirt a couple weeks ago - darn.

Take care,
E
