I had my old '69 Coupe up to about 120-125 mph....I've had my dad's '00 Grand Cherokee up to almost 110--redlined in top gear going down hill....I've had my Ranger up to about 85 is all, I haven't played around with it much at all. I did G-Tech it though. 19.29@72.9 mph. I was proud of it for dipping under 20. That thing will easily do 100 though, I'll have to go do that someday just to say I have.
I travelled about 45-50 mph on a bicycle last summer down a really steep, long hill. My dad is really into biking and has a little computer thing on it that says your trip distance/total distance/speed/average speed, etc. I was using his bike, a Trek something-or-other. Pretty big rush. I was dumb for not wearing a helmet or other protective gear. |

The speedo on my 89 FZR 1000 was so far off its hard to tell how fast I was going. I do know that it would go 130 in the 1/4 all day long. I'm guessing the fastest I ever had it was around 150. (speedo showing like 170)

I had a VMAX and the top advertised speed was 145... I had to try it. Scary without any wind protection, thought I was gonna get blown off that sucker. The speedo goes to 85 in the mustang sooo... over 85

Maybe if you had a real bike instead of "one of those ninja bikes" the rush would have been a bit better for you?? j/k

The fastest I've driven is 142 in my '95 Impalla S/S, and runner up is 135 in the Stang. Now that the chip has been reprogrammed and the limiter is removed...I'll have to see what the Stang can *really* do top-end.

Faster, faster, oooohhhh yea baby
Ive been fast a few times but the ones that stand out are on my 7RR (170+) and in the vert with the top down at 165ish. But i would rather talk about how fast you can go around a corner with your knee draggin and pegs folding up on ya.

Oh yeah, and for crewzin, I scraped the peg on my old Shadow taking a winding turn at 80 . Looked bad after that, had to replace it. Haha, that's when I decided I needed a sport bike instead .

Yea Man
crewzin , I'am with ya brother !. You make me think about this park outside the city limits of Las vegas ( can't think of the name of it) what a cool place for some peg scraping, it's one way in and one way out ( 18 miles long) of some of the best turns I can remember , it had like , 12 wicked left handers, and 10 rights. It was a mecca for sport bikes back in the day ( It's been awhile) but this place was so crazy ,that on weekends they would station a flight for life chopper near by !! ( for your typical rich kid ,that just rolled in with a bran new 1100 with 15 miles on it ) no kidding.. ! If anybody can recall the name of the park I would really like to no .. just had to tell you that !

You gotta admit, the ZX-6R is GREAT for wind protection at high speeds. The 929 damned near beats me to death. For those who wanna flame me for going that fast, I don't normally ride that fast, but I REALLY could not afford a ticket that day.

http://www.fortunecity.com/silverstone/studebaker/396/ wound up placing 3rd in my horsepower range, but I haven't been there for a while, and I'm sure I've been pushed down the list. It's a really cool site, and the webmaster, Magnus, is a cool guy too.

Pretty cool site. Course......most of those speeds are BULLSHIT without the "yellow box" to correct the factory 3-8% high set speedometers that Japanese bikes come set at. Nevertheless, a cool site.
