Im suicidal
Just thought I would vent.....For the last two weeks I have been working on my crx. I am converting it over to a V-tec set-up. I was tearing the engine down when I came to the crank pulley.
The bolt on the crank pulley sucks @ss......It took me 2 days to get it off. I ended up borrrowing a 1/2 inch drive 4 ft long break over bar, and jumping off of a chair on to it several times to get the damn thing off. (Thanks PKRWUD) At this point I was thinking that the hard part was over. I went and bought some more new parts and then installed the new v-tec head. I was happy that I was almost done cause I was out of patience and out of skin on my knuckles. The moment of truth was here, I turned the key and it started right up. and was loud as hell, thanks to 11 to 1 compression Then I hit another problem the damn V-tec solenoid wouldnt work. I got online and ask some import guys what the deal was and they said Oh man!!!!......I said what!, What do you mean oh man!!!!..........then he said I bet you forgot to pop the oil control valve out of the block didnt you .................Heres the deal I dont know **** about hondas, so I relied on tech articles on the net. The one I decided to use never mentioned anything about poping the oil control valve out of the block. Point of my story is I have to take the damn engine back apart again, and go through all of this again I HATE HONDUH"S

The key to working on imports is remembering that they are backwards.
Besides, why are you whining? That's only half a motor, so doing it twice is like building a real one once.

Dude, suicidal over Honda?!?!? Don't make me drive down there!
Honestly, I think that was the entire plan of the pint-sized engineers in the first place; to see how they could avenge their loss in the quest for world domination by designing vehicles that can only be serviced by people with tiny arms and hands. Hey, look at it this way; now you know how to get that damn bolt out, and soon you too will be able to advise others on the do's and dont's of upgrading a Honda! Okay, well at least you know how to get the bolt out. Take care, ~Chris
