Dont need a turbo timer. Water cooled turbo! besides it has to be in reverse to remove the key from the ignition. (that would't do)

My wife makes all the money. she bought the 911 as a birthday present for me. she will buy me another one some day but after we have kids. ( I think she was jealous. she called it the "red b**ch in the driveway" as apposed to "the 911"

don't need one??? first time i've heard that...............my veedub is set up where you can't lock the doors while the timer is running, so i didn't get one, i just sit in my ride 2 or 3 minutes before shutting off

the berings are water cooled which so oil doesn't gunk up and also I have never done mach1 right to my parking spot so the water has sufficient time to cool the turbo. besides 100+ dollors would be worth me sitting in my car for a couple minutes if I had to.

to maintain is easy if you have pacience. valve adjusments should be done once a year. 4-500 at a dealer elbow grease and $20 worth of gaskets if you get a manual and do it your self. I spent money on oil alone. for the most part. a quart every 1000 miles keeps the engine oil fresh . so oil changes are pretty far apart. (they are designed to burn a quart or so 800-1500 miles.)
