Almost lost the house last night to fire.
Well last night my house caught fire. The creosote in the smoke stack accumulated too much and it caught. Well, my parents were outside, one on the roof, dumping water down the chimney trying to get it out. My mom comes into my room, about 1:15 in the morning, and wakes me up. I get changed and go and find a water hose that wasn't frozen and so they could use it. Thank god it's out otherewise I wouldn't be here making this post .
Wow, what a way to spend a weekend. Daniel. |

Whoa! Man, glad you guys put that out. It would've highly sucked to see your house go out in a blaze!

Glad your OK Dan!
Glad your OK Dan. I'm thankful that everyone is ok and that the fire was contained to the flu and fireplace box....(?) Don't wish that upon my worst enemy.

That is my single biggest fear. Man, i'm really glad you came out of it okay, and I hope the damage wasn't too bad.
Take care, ~Chris

We have a fireplace insert over our fireplace. We're going to have to pull it out and go to cleaning out the chimney before we can use the fireplace again. We have the one out on the backporch (it's enclosed) going, but it sucks, so I'll be happy when the other is going.

Damn that must of been a good test to see your reaction at that time in the morning. I would of probably been like leave me alone and let me go back to sleep. lol But aslong as everyone is okay, and the damages arn't that bad then everything will be okay. You just probably have an expensive story now.
