Someone help me please!!
I just started a thread in a couple of forums and since most people check here more frequently I figured I'd post it here too. This is what it is:
"I've had a thread going in windsor power about having problems starting my car. It turns out that the problem is directly related to my alarm. How can I disconnect my alarm and still be able to start my car? The alarm has a kill switch built into it. I know that if you just unplug it, it will never start. Is there a certain sequence you have to go through, or a certain wire to unplug first? Thanks for the replies." I'm up for any suggestions. Thanks, Caymon

Really a tough one without at least a wiring diagram ... If the kill switch is nothing but a simple on off switch then its just tying wires together when its on ... but if those wires are some type of control lines that go to a processor board then who knows what their ultimate function is ?? Do you have a wiring diagram ?

Man I wish I did. The alarm was in the car when I bought it. It doesn't work anyways, so I would like to take it out if possible. I really don't want to pay someone $40 to do it for me. Oh well, you gotta do what you gotta do. Thanks for the reply.

You might look for a fuse in the alarm wiring somewhere. Usually will stick out like a sore thumb. My guess is that the car will default to 'run' when that's pulled.
Check that out and see what happens. If it doesn't work, just trace the ignition wiring for the car, and fix any opens/loops in the stock wiring. It will be harder that way, but there's no reason you shouldn't be able to put it back to stock with just that book. Best of luck man.
