Need you opinion...
Just something that the wife and I are throwing around. Sell the 95 and buy a 03 Mach 1, or keep the 95 and mod it when I get the money?

Normally, I'd say check the Mach 1 out and see if you really like it. But I must say, a GT vs. a Mach 1 - this is the first Mach 1 in a long time, so if for no other reason than this is going to be a special car, I'd say go for the Mach 1.
Of course, I'll stick with my 96 Cobra... |

Tough call, I was thinking of getting a 2003 Mach 1 then I'm like hmm.... wait I'm 18 and insurance will run me about $13000 (Canadian). So I think I'll just keep saving my money. I'll just keep driving my parents car for now. I'll try to pick up another Muscle car for summer and fix it up, the insurance is surprisingly cheap.
But I say go for the Mach 1.

Insurance for me is no problem. I got a quote on a Cobra and it was only $1800 a year.

I saw a Mach 1 at the dealer. They are very sweet , but , I just can not get over the the price of it. Seems I would just get a Roush or a Cobra for that moey.

In Canada you can get a Mach 1 for CDN$37,000 - CDN$38,000 (US$23-24,000). The sticker price on a Cobra Vert is only CDN$51,000. That's only around US$33,000. Due to the economic differences in Canada, Canadians can't afford the same price as Americans, so Cobra's, Mach 1's etc, are a fair bit cheaper up here.

Well, is the 95 your only car or do you guys have more than one car? I wouldn't buy a Mach 1 if I'd have to drive it everyday, and night and long trips, so on and so forth. But if it would be a 3-day or so driver just around town and your OCCASIONAL long trip, then go for it i guess. Of course much of it depends on your finances now. Just take a lot of time and weigh your options to make your decision...
...I can't really vote on this cause i don't really know your situation.

Thanks guys. Fox Body good advice. Oh and Rice Hunter, those are always god words to live by.
I think I might try something different. Due to some incentives on GT's. I might trade the wifes piece of junk 1997 cavalier for a convertible 2003 GT. I can get a 2 year lease for next to nothing! Then I could keep both my GT and get a new one. There is just no incentive programs for the Mach 1. I guess just owning one is incentive enough |
