![]() I was just watching the first round of the NHRA race in Arizona and there it was a Mustang Pro Stock car driven by Scott Gefferion. First time i have had an intrest in the class since gildden left. HE qualifed 8th and lost in the first round on a red light. Then the parachute didnt' come out and he hit the brakes and ran into the wall and destroyed the car. The annocers where saying that he was going to an escort zx2 at the Ganesville race. I quess cuz it is more aerodynamic. Hell if he qualifed 8th with the mustang and the excort is susposed to be a better car quess i will have to watch Pro Stock again.

![]() That crash was pretty scary!
![]() Yea he's switching to a ZX2 instead of the Mustang. In the Mustang, he was one of the quickest to 60' and 330' but after 330, the poor aerodynamics of the Mustang would result in a poor time. Still, qualifying #8 isn't too shabby!

![]() ZX2?!?! ...does that mean we'll be seeing this body in FFW and NMRA Pro trim? Hmmmm....
FWIW, I'm a big fan of watching 'near stock' (wheelbase, etc.) looking 10.5" tired Outlaw 'stangs blast down the 1320' ...now that's a good time! ![]() 7.17 @ 198mph is the record for a 10.5" tire car... and it's a Mustang, no less, with a SBF and a turbo (Dan Millen's ride, to be exact). |
