Default upgrades!!!

Ok folks, I've got a '97 Mustang GT and I'm looking to change out my factory exhaust for something with a little more sound and power. Now I'm pretty new at this stuff but after searching Jegs and Summit Racing's websites I figured I'd pick up a set of Flowmaster's American Thunder mufflers. Does anyone have any better ideas or suggestions as to what I should pick up? ...or can anyone tell me if they're complete junk and I'm an idiot and I'm completely on the wrong track? I'd appreciate it!

The flows are nice. I have a set on my Stang. But, be aware that it seems almost every Mustang has Flowmasters. If you want to set your Stang apart and have it sound a little different, you may think of getting a different brand. Although, I guess not as many of the 4.6 motors run Flowmasters, so it may not matter to you much.....

Well, I live in the small town of Pataskala, Ohio... not far from Kirkersville. National Trails Raceway is right down the road from my house, but we don't see many fixed up mustangs around here. Just mostly the V6's. Though even in this somewhat small out-of-the-way town I still see kids driving around those sport compact imports. Civics and eclipses with chrome rims and big aluminum wings on 'em... sound like a bunch of bumble bees... lol
