Dyno'ed my car last night...
anyways, one of the import shops was having a dyno day, 1 run for $30 (CDN) so a bunch of us stangers came out.
Anyways, I'm pretty happy with my results 289rwhp@6000 rpms and 313 ft/lbs@ 3800rpm. The power was still climbing when they shut it down at 6000 to (I told them to go to 6500 ) But anyways, saw an 03 cobra put down 395rwhp with a catted x-pipe, no silencer, and a hypertech power programmer. My buddies 99GT with a K&N, offroad X and a ported upper plenum made 249.7 hp. I had the second most powerful N/A car (there was a 99 cobra that put down 305 hp) there and only one import that has ben in several VW magazines made more power than I did

It was a Dyno dynamics dynamometer, it is an eddy-current style dyno similar to a Mustang dyno, but it doesn't have the parameters for vehicle weight like the mustang.
Anyways the owners' car (Turbo'd GTi VR6)had been on a dynojet 248 the weekend before for comparison's sake and it put down 420 hp on the dynojet and 422 on their dyno, the air last night was as close to perfect as you can get vs. hot and muggy when it was dynoed the week before.

Hmmm. I like these dyno posts. Those are respectable #s. Thanks for posting it. Aren't the 99 GTs suppose to be putting out 260 horses? (I can't think right now (almost 3 am...my dad, a friend and I went to an observatory to stare at Mars ), but I think that's right... or am I getting it mixed up with something else?... right now...I'm too lazy to look it up....

It was a shootout so they didn't do any datalogging, but judging by my numbers, my tune up is pretty good, the graphs were nice curves with no dips or spikes.
I basically tuned it at the track to get the best MPH. Looking at a bunch of the EFI car's graphs, they all had at least one sharp dip or a hole in their curve. Anyways, I'll be at my parent's house next week and I'll scan a copy up and let you guys have a look It's now time to leave the tune alone and work on my driving
