Ding dong, Saddam is captured (and on his way to the hangman's noose)
Finally! The Iraqi nightmare is over. Saddam Hussein won't be killing anyone else, he won't gas anyone else, ever again. Iraq is free. Already reduced to hiding in a hole in the ground, without enough guts to kill himself when discovered, he'll be further humiliated in a public trial, convicted and hung, or shot or whatever. His ultimate death won't bring any of the thousands of innocent people murdered on his orders back but his death will reassure the Iraqi people that the tyrant is dead and gone, along with his sons and most of his henchmen are also dead or imprisoned, probably for the rest of their lives. This is justice. Overdue, but delivered, all the same.
Justice is being served in Iraq and you know what? We did it, America! The brave military people who've sweated it out in Iraq since last March and the elite group that captured Saddam hiding in his rat-hole and took him in to face justice did it. The American people who supported the military in Iraq and the administration who made the decision to invade Iraq and remove Saddam from power did it. This took patience and need more of that patience but it's the right thing to do. Saddam is captured...or, as Paul Bremmer said: "We got him"! America says: Thank God.

Great news!
It was nice to wake up, turn CNN on, and get some good news about the war/manhunt. The ace of spades has been captured but were not out of the woods yet. Regardless, the capture of Hussein is a huge moment in this war.
May God continue to bless the brave men and women who are still fighting, and will continue to fight, for our freedom and the freedom of Iraqi's.

I think the manner in which he was caught, the examination of his hair and mouth by the unknown American doctor, the bewildered look on his face, his ratty hair and beard is what really made my day. This 'almighty' figure to many in the Middle East was "caught like a rat" in a spider hole and didn't even go down fighting with so called honor as he said he would. Just imagine what his supporters think of him know. The images on TV most definitely took ALL the wind out of their sails.
I love it. God Bless America and all our troops and administration! E

What did Sadam say when they pulled him out of his hole?
" Did I out last that David Blane?" |
