How to get into NASCAR?
I want to get into NASCAR. Not just as a guy in the background, I want to drive. Or at least have a shot. Just one chance to see if I have what it takes. How do I get my foot in the door?
I know, beyond all doubt, that I could out drive 60% of the guys out there now. It may just be cockiness. Whatever the case, someone give me the one shot I need. Prove me wrong. Please. What is there to lose? Granted, I don't drive these cars like guys out there now, and I will gladly give them thier due. With that said, given a certain amount of acclimation to the car, I will all but promise that I can beat any time anyone can post, as long as the car can handle me. For the love of God, someone give me one oppurtunity. Just one. No more no less. Just one. Mr Roush, Mr Yates, anyone? I'll take a shot at Busch Series. It doesn't matter to me. Just let me drive. With in 2 years, I'll win the Cup. First year, Rookie of the Year. Name it and watch me get it. I'll knock Dale Jr off his throne. No one is ready for a driver like me, nobody. Watch me work. Later.

no idea how you get into it. I know most of them start out earl in go karts and graduate up to 1/4 midgets and sprint cars and on to small local stock cars etc etc.
your best bet would be to go to some sort of racing school i would think. but road racing > nascar

I agree on the roadrace>nascar thing, but nascar has more money. I want to spank dale jr, jeff gordon, and all the other pansies out there. they are nothing but a bunch of whinning little babies.
"Boo who, I lost the race cause he bumped me." They need to toughen up like Junior Johnson, Buddy Baker, Fireball Roberts, the list goes on. Ahh..........my $0.02.

Im not sure but I am almost positive there is a school in either NC or SC for that kinda stuff. Ask around. I have a friend that was going to go there... I can ask him and get back to you...

Take a look at this
http://www.incredible-adventures.com..._overview.html Use any good search engine like google. Type in NASCAR School and you will get lots of hits for both driving schools and mechanic schools. I am sure you will have to prove yourself somewhere before someone will put you behind the wheel of one of those cars in a sanctioned race. I expect it takes some real money to put together a team and a car that has any chance. Kind of like horse racing. You got a $10MM horse. Who you going to get to ride it in the Kentucky Derby? Keep the dream alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!
