1995 Mustang GT+100 shot
I just bought a 95 5.0 GT with an AODE.
I'm buying a Nitrous Works dry kit within the next month. I plan to spray 100. I would expect the car to run ~13.50 with just the nitrous. Is this being realistic? Also, I have no experience spraying on an automatic. I plan to change the fluid to Mercon V, is there anything else I need to do? Will the AODE even be able to take the extra torque? I'd eventually like to run 12s in this car. Is this realistic with a factory AODE transmission? I plan on nitrous, full exhaust (headers+off road X pipe+flows), 4.10s, and drag radials. Do you guys think a 12 second pass would be possible with this? I appreciate your feedback. Please let me know if I'm being unrealistic here. I have no experience with automatic cars, so any tips are very welcome. Thanks, Shawn |

A bone stock SN95 GT with a AODE is mostly likey a 15 second car.
You could dip into the high 13's with a 100hp shot. The mods your planning plus a 100hp shot should yeild some low 13's if you've got a runner. A good QUALITY stall converter would really wake your car up. I'd suggest something in the 2600-2800 range. -Josh, aka the tireburner

If you really want 12s you'll need to lighten it or make a bunch of HP. Besides the convertor I'd first look into some 4.30s or even 4.56s if you run the 1/8.

It's not worth it just to throw in some 4.56's and blast the 1/8th. Because if you ever run the 1/4 or street race your just gonna run out of gear or have to shift into OD. I've got 4.10's in my notch and I'm going to 3.73's I run mid 13's and go through the traps at 5000 in 4th. I can't get a good time out of my car on spray though because I run out of gear and have to either lift of shift onto 5th. -Josh, aka the tireburner

It's going to be tough to get a bone stock 95 DOA-E in to the 13's with just a 100 shot. Stock, those trannies take about 2 seconds to shift gears. I would definately recommend a good rebuild and a good convertor. Some sort of chip or computer tuning device will be necessary too, as the factory rev limiter is set at 5500.

My brother in laws 94GT 5 speed with steeda #18 cam, headers, exhaust, holley systemax intake, 150 shot ,3.73 gears and slicks went 11.90 @115mph
I suggest a swap to a 5 speed. Do it!!!!!!!!!!!
