Default new here also

Guess i should let everyone know who i am. names dave here and have been follower of stangs for a long time. currently working on newest toy a 66 coupe build tag and info shows it to have been a standard coupe built in march of 65 ( ?? hmmm ) but showing as model year 1966 original color was sahara beige with parchment/ w parchment and palimino for interior a 289 2v 3 spd standard and a lock rear end and info matches vin tag. alas only a little of original build tag still holds true tho currently its painted emberglow with parchment and black interior , still has locking rear but will sport a newer 302 with c4 tranny cause someone already removed the cluch peddle assembly somewhere along the lines.

this will be my project car over the next year to year and half and thankfully 90% of body is solid and original or been expertly restored for rails pans etc. with exception of one floor pan needing work body is good.

the debates i wil have now is weather to just run it as daily driver and for go any type of showing or gradually put it back to original build tag specs. i may go route of paint and interior and leave rest with the 302 and c4 for fun.

I will get some pictures up as i can and as soon as i figure out how and where to put them in profile info i may do that.

wish me luck this will be first serious rebuild after an aborted start on a 68 coupe which i sold when late wife got cancer but i am back and ready for some fun.

other rides are 89 f150 4x4 with an 300 I6 ( my work horse )

and a 91 subaru built up while i worked as assit. parts manager for subaru .sporting a few tricks under hood to numerous to mention but lets just say smile when an all wheel drive subi wagon cracks out sub13's in 1/4 for fun. :-)

Welcome to the group! I have just joined in December, but I check in every time I get online. There is something for every kind of Mustanger, no matter what your preference is. I have a 65 project car and consider myself a "Classic" Mustanger but I have 3 late models, my daily is a 97 GT Convertible.

Mustangworks is both entertaining and informational, and a good place to share and get ideas!

Welcome, and I agree I think you will find it a very informative site. It is also searchable and you can go back and read old posts on many subjects.

People are nice too....
