Re: New Rims?
Discount tire is good. Look thru the magazines, you can find new "takeoffs". These are rims that shops end up with when they customize cars.
Also dont forget ebay.

Re: New Rims?
Jerri,
Go to ebay. I got my polished Cobra R's for $529 (Buy It Now price) and Chad's 01 Cobra rims for $625. Shipping was $80, but last week someone told me she paid $1200 locally for the exact same wheels as mine.

Re: New Rims?
C. J. Pony parts lists 4 03-04 Mach 1 Wheels mounted and balanced on Nitto 245/45-17 tires for $979., item # 7929406495 on ebay. Nittos are great tires, probably cost you $800 by themselves at a tire store.

Re: New Rims?
I would go local too for the same price, save that $80 shipping. I try to shop local first, unfortunately, we are in a "small" town (85K) and don't have the choices we would in a larger city like Dallas or Houston. If I can't find local, I look for parts close enough to drive over and back in a day, then I look at the internet. Unfortunately, most of the time ebay or one of the online Mustang Parts places have what I'm looking for cheaper than what I can get here.
Be sure and post pictures when you get them on, we wanna see

Re: New Rims?
do you think the offset will be the same? Hmm... I havent thought about that yet! Oh I will be sure to take pictures :-D!!! If 85K is small my city is like a community then...lol the college is what attracts all the people total I would say we are 50k at the most 20k being college students!

Re: New Rims?
The cool thing about buying rims that were original equipment on Mustangs is that you really don't have to worry about the offset. They were made to fit the Mustang! Mine are 17 X 9, my originals were 17 X 8, but the extra inch fills out the wheelwells really nicely, especially after lowering the car.
The lug spacing is the same on V6 and V8 cars too, so any wheel that came on a 94-04 will fit nicely on any Mustang 94-04, with the possible exception of putting some of the 94-95 14" rims on a GT, I think the brakes are bigger, but who would want to do that anyway?

Re: New Rims?
You can put any 94-04 GT rim on your v6. I've seen almost everything out there on something else at least once. Find something you like and check sites for people selling their takeoffs for real cheap. Local is the best because you can look at them before you get them. It's how I got 15's for drag tires.
