I did the Mardi Gras thing once in college. I get sick just thinking about it. It was the most insane weekend. I did things I thought I would never do. Here are the things I most remember:
1 - Rode in an elevator with William Shatner. 2 - Crashed a wedding party...turned out to be two women getting married in tuxedos. 3 - Went in a bar with about six friends...before we realized that it was...well, for all guys...if you catch my drift. Needless to say, we left. 4 - While walking down a road with some buds, we came across some kids pushing a Caddy right down the road. So, we helped. There was a little kid about 10 steering the thing as we all pushed. We pushed the thing about 100 yards before we saw the window sticker and realized they were stealing the car. Again...we ran. 5 - Chicks from New Orleans are extremely HOT! 6 - I will never let my wife go there alone with friends.

Cool! When I lived in N.O., my Dad ran the Clarion on Canal St. I was too young to really enjoy Mardi Gras, but I remember enough to know that it's a blast.
I lived in Key West for a few years and bartended at Ricks on Duval St. for three Fantasy Fests. Though no real comparison, it reminded me of Mardi Gras! What fun! And the tips we made that week could buy me a small island! Have fun, man... I wish I was there to party with ya! I hope you have a minimal hangover! Good luck!

Mardi Gras in New Orleans = fun and unforgettable memories,
Mardi Gras in Seattle = Cops, j-walking tickets, drunken fights getting immediately broken up by cops. Since the Mardi Gras riots a couple years ago there's cops every where in seattle now. Where i was this weekend there was AT LEAST 10 cops per block (on the sidewalks) and also more driving around and on horseback. .....i need to go to New Orleans some day
