Re: anyone here...
What are you babbling about? 351C vs 351W? There is no comparison for the stock engines. The 351C simply dominates the 351W. Then again, I view the stock 351W as a boat anchor and I cannot comprehend why so many Ford people love it.
These days the aftermarket for the 351W is far superior to that for the 351C which more than balances the scales in favor of the 351W for performance when significantly modified. The heads for the 351C are old school technology that weren't designed nearly as efficient as today's castings. With superior technology and research, flow velocity was increased along with improved port shapes, sizes and valvetrain. |

Re: anyone here...
no, no, no, i'm not comaring the 351W to the 351C at all. my dad has a '70 mach1 with the 351C in it, i will have an '89 with a 351W in it. anywho, he wants some better heads for his car, he's not happy with the power it has i guess. but he read somewhere that in australia the heads were different because of the emissions or lack there of in australia, so he wants some for his mach1

Re: anyone here...
Yes the australia heads are better. They have lots of 351C there and have really good aluminum heads for them. Cost alot of money to get though. Stock cleveland heads are very good heads in stock form. Especialy if it is a 4v. Hell the 2V heads have ports that are the same size as the ports on my cobra jet heads and the 4V head ports are even bigger. If his car is fairly stock he should look into other mods for power and leave the heads alone. If he really wants new heads edelbrock just came out with an aluminum head for the 351C 2V. Not really a better head than the stock ones execpt for being aluminum. The Austrailian head are alot better though just cost more money to get them. All depends on how far he wants to go I quess.

Re: anyone here...
Not trying to argue with you Unit5302, why do you not like the 351w? Just wondering.
