Corvette's vs. Mustangs
Hope this is ok as my very first post here. (If not mods can delete.)
Mustangs are getting their butts kicked so we should get our say in and even things up!... Corvettes vs Mustangs "case" Update: For some reason the above link doesn't always take me directly to the right page so if that happens you can just enter "mustang" in the search and the corvette vs. mustang vote will come up. Re: Corvette's vs. Mustangs
I always love the Corvette vs Mustang comparison. The Mustang is not designed to compete with the Corvette. The Mustang is a 2+2 sport coupe, not a 2 seat sports car. The Corvette is in the same class as Viper, and the Mustang is in the same class as the Eclipse. Let me know when you see the comparison between those two, lol.

Re: Corvette's vs. Mustangs
Pretty hard to compare two cars that have price difference of 20K to 30K

Re: Corvette's vs. Mustangs
As long as they keep comparing the Mustang to something else, shows me it is still a threat to everyone else.

Re: Corvette's vs. Mustangs
Sorry, should have been more clear. I was talking Dodge Viper vs Mitsubishi Eclipse.
The 350Z is another 2 seater so not in the Mustang's class IMHO. |

Re: Corvette's vs. Mustangs
Mustang GT: 300 HP. Approximately $25,000.
Corvette: 400 HP. Approximately $40,000. Hardly a reasonable comparison by any measure, so what's the point?

Camaros and Trans Ams Vs. Mustangs ...well thats how I see it in my eyes but they stopped making those ...now I guess that the competition out there is the charger?
and vettes are a bit more expensive than 40k

Re: Corvette's vs. Mustangs
Im anxious to run a new gto.
I've handled a couple stock c5's on the 1/4, nice to know an old budget built 4 seater can still do the job.....

Re: Corvette's vs. Mustangs
A base 06 mustang GT is 25k a base corvette is 45k. That is a 20k difference. A fully loaded ZO6 is 71,485. A fully loaded mustang Gt is 32k. Almost a 40k difference. Really not cars that should be compared. I know that 07 cobras will be going for around 70k witht the dealer mark ups. But in reality it is a 40k car still less than a base corvette.
