Hello
Hey,
How long do you think Ford is going to keep this cool new look for the car? I am guessing 10 years. |

Re: Hello
I wouldn't want them to keep it longer then about 3-4 years. Ford has a rep to keep up with the Stangs, change every 3-4 years.

Re: Hello
Used to be Ford would change the look every couple years. Since the new mustang resembles the classic mustangs, I just assumed they'd do that, but maybe that wouldn't be too cost-effective. Especially considering Ford needs to pull themselves out of a big hole, they're probably not gonna be changing much anytime soon.

Re: Hello
Ford has to get the rest of their vehicle lineup to be profitable before anything else changes. To say that they're "in a hole" would be a compliment; the reality is that they're more like the Titanic, slowly slipping beneath the waves. I hope I'm wrong on this, and hopefully some time VERY soon, someone in that company will step up and steer it into an exciting new direction, with engineering prowess and design quality being the primary goals. Only then will we see more cutting-edge designs like we used to.
I've said for a long time now that Ford should just stop making cars altogether, and make only Mustangs and F-series trucks. Possibly, they could still make cars under the Mercury and Lincoln names, subsidizing production and dedicating those lines as semi-independent. Kind of like the Saturn and GM relationship.

Re: Hello
They will change in a couple years as expected and on schedule.
The chassis will remain but the body will change. |
