surprise
Ya, so, i've always known that, all my convictions aside, gm makes bad cars (have you sat in one over made in the past 15 years? CHEAP PLASTIC!) but my friend just told me tonight that the camaro has a 5.7L (350) engine! I was totaly surprised cause i just thought that they ran the 5.0L (305) chevy engine. It is very sad that my 90 lx 302 can beat a camaro 350 of the same year. I knew that gm made crappy cars from a comfort/ride/durability standpoint, but i didn't know that they were crapily engineered as well.

They had both the 305 and 350 in 1990. In 1993 with the release of the LT-1, the 305 option was deleted.
All the 1993-1996/1997's featured the LT-1 rated at between 275-285hp, 305 for the SS and WS6. The 1997/1998-current models got the new LS-1 underrated at 305hp, 320 for the SS and WS6. Most of the 1984-1992 Z28's got the 305, some got the 350. Same with the Trans Am's I believe. |

Yeah...sad isn't it? Mustangs are superior to Camaroin every field except one. A Camaro can out-suck a Mustang any day. Hehe. Although, the Camaros have the stock panhard bar the Mustang is missing. But who cares, they suck. That's why there are mullets called the Camaro cut and the IROC cut. HAHAHAHA!

Yeah, a friend and I were talking about kinda the same thing a while back. We were saying how it took a 350 Z28 to compare to a GT Mustang which has the 302 (pre '94). What if Ford equipped 95 and up GTs with 351s??!!!!!!! It'd all be over. No competition.
To think that GTs equipped w/ 4.6 L engines with a few mods have the ability to spank these, not only 351-equipped Zs, but also the knew GM wonder-- the LS1s . The only respect that I have lost for GM, though, is the fact that they might discontinue the Camaros. They screwed up. They got tooo many F-bodies : Camaro Trans Am Formula WS6 Firehawk CompTA (also, their interiors-- '93 and up suck, IMO) The consumer can't keep up. GM, slow down, then maybe you won't lose as much money. Stupid. “…because, no one’s really gonna be free until nerd persecution ends.” ---Revenge of the Nerds ------------------------------- '79 Mustang Coup 4" Cowl Weld wheels (15x6;15x8) Stock 5.8L C4 w/ shift kit 1.5" MAC full length headers Holley 750 CFM Edelbrock intake 2.5" Off road H-pipe, 2-chamber Flowmasters 8.8" Rear end w/ 3.55 gears (Now that's more like it!!)
