Sound clips of 3" 1 Chamber flowmasters w/turndowns and off road h-pipe
These clips don't do these mufflers any justice but here they are.
idol and revving 1st and 2nd gear Let me know what you think. ------------------ James Cox nochevy@hotmail.com 1991 Mustang LX 12.565 @109.38mph 1.764 60ft |

Those sound great, im getting a pair of 3" 2-chamber mufflers that my dad will give to me. I am considering the 1 chambers now.

They are defiantly loud but they sound great.
The only thing I don't like is that if I get on it I am always looking over my shoulder for the cops. But if I were going to go with anything quieter I would go with the quietest thing I could find so not to draw so much attention. ------------------ James Cox nochevy@hotmail.com 1991 Mustang LX 12.565 @109.38mph 1.764 60ft |

My personal opinion:
I don't like the idle/revving clip -- at all. I have junk speakers though and you said yourself that the .wav files don't do the mufflers justice so... Now the .wav of you running through 1st and 2nd gears is another story. In that .wav file, the car sounds awesome, period. Overall, though, I was surprised at how quiet the car sounded with your mods and then add to it the fact that this is a 3" system, and, you are running 1-chambers no less. It MUST be the way the files were recorded because everything I have heard about 1-chambers is that they're loud as can be. ------------------ Jeff Kane 1990 LX Mustang ex-5.0 Coupe No engine. Actually 3" exhaust is much quieter to 2.5" so I can see why he put the 1 chambers on there. If I put one chambers on my car (1) I would go deaf and (2) every cop for a 10 block radius would be looking for me.

The exhaust is actually 2 1/2" that goes into 3" mufflers and 3" turndowns. It is still loud though.
