What FATF would like you to beleive.
I just tought of those...
1) Going too fast will pop floor boards off your car. 2) 1/4 Mile lasts a full minute long. 3) Every car is a 10 seconds car 4) Every car runs NOS 5) Running NOS is like a video game, you can only use one 3 second shot and if you use it to early you will lose the race. 6) Half naked chicks will sleep with you if you have a fast car and win a race. (I wish!) 7) Every teenager carries 2 G's cash in there pocket. 8) A lowered big rimed car will keep up on take off with a full slick front lifting car. 9) Street racing works in gangs mostlikely involved in organized crime. 10) Computers can give you nice graphics on the fly when your manifold is losing bolts. No particular order, just stuff I tought about. |

Here's a few more:
Even though you fry your pistons, the manifold is cracked and it's overheating, your car will still run great (and fast) for hours afterward - until some Asian gangsters destroy it with a few hundred rounds of automatic weapons fire. You can crash and then flip in an old Dodge Charger at very high speed - not wearing a seat belt - and walk away from it with only some cuts and bruises. Cops are never around when you race and if some ever happen to appear, they will never catch you. Local Police departments gladly supply young undercover cops $50,000. race cars and never say a word when they are destroyed by gunfire. They just give the young cop more money to build a new race car from scratch. An undercover cop with his career on the line, would a let a much-sought-after gang leader and major felon get away and give him a police-supplied car to do it in. Right. |

If you're driving a 10 ton truck, you should be concerned about what 3 1 1/4 ton ricers are going to do to you. It's kind of like dogs chasing cars. What would they ever do if they caught one?
It's illegal to park on the side of the road at night, and cops will arrest you for street racing even though they never actually saw you race. All submachine guns have 500 round magazines that look like 12 round magazines. Having illegal automatic weapons with silencers is a less serious crime than stealing DVD players. Cops would actually care if a trucker blew away hijackers in the process of a hijacking. The more bottles of nitrous you have, the faster you will go. A 10 second car can hit 160 in the 1/4 mile. |

And a few more still:
1) If your driving that previously mentioned 10 ton rig, it's a good thing to drive straight and nice so the little import gang can climb aboard and pilfer your goods. 2) If you see a drive by shooting about to occur, it's better to stand up than to run and duck down b/c the bullets will bounce off your chest (then again, maybe not). 3) It's okay to be involved in a friendly race b/t an undercover cop and a known felon especially if it involves beating a train. 4) If you are leaving the scene of an illegal activity and cops are chasing you and you decide to lose them in an abandoned building, don't just sit there a minute or two and wait for them to go by. No, it's better to get out and walk the streets b/c if the cop who just happens to know who you are sees you, your buddy will come pick you up and you'll gloriously escape the grasp of the cops. 5) Oh yeah, the cop who knows you by name would never know where you lived so it's okay to flee and attempt to allude law enforcement officials (especially if they know you by name). ----------------------------------------- 351W-powered 1979 Ford Mustang notchback Stock 5.8L under 4" cowl, C4 w/ shift kit Holley 750 cfm, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake 1 5/8" MAC shorty headers, Al driveshaft 2.5" Off road H-pipe, 2-chamber Flowmasters Front: 225/60/15, Rear: 255/60/15 Eagle GT II Weld wheels (15x6;15x8), 8.8" Rear w/ 3.55s 14 x 4” K&N air filter (getting the Xtreme setup someday) "Red, thou art my companion. Wait for it to come out on video and in the mean time, watch Point Break. It's the same plot, just a lot better of a story and a lot better acting.
At the very least, go to a matinee. ------------------ 351W 89 Mustang GT Convertible |

From what I can remember, GM was not represented at all in the movie. Maybe that's a good thing for GM.

You guys forgot to mention these:
You can pull the front end up AND spin your tires at the same time. You can spend 100,000 dollars on engine work and still barely beat a Jetta. You can jump hills and have no body or frame damage to your car. Asian gangsters who have sports bikes are going to ride dirt bikes to do a drive by instead so that you could have a chance to keep up with them. A 50,000 dollar car(Skyline) is a side kick's car. ------------------ 90 Honda CRX aka Project Mongoose Estimated Completion: ON STANDBY 84 Toyota Supra: Japanese 6mge installed within two weeks.....
