I LOVE IT!!!! I'm going to be learning ALOT more than the independant technician co-operative class i was going to.
The way that it works is that i go to school from 7:00am to 1:30pm with a 5 minute, 20 minute and 40 minute break. Then i have to be at work at about 3:00 to 8:00 (the night shift). This goes from monday to friday, then i work every other saturday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. I'm making a decent amount of money, and it gets even better when i go to co-op. Co-operative time is when i will be applying what i learned in class. I will be teamed up with an experienced technician and work alot in the area i was trained and will also make ALOT of hours as well (i'm hourly so i'll be making over 40+ hours a week) and i'll also get alot of hands on experience to go with the book knowledge.
I think it's a great program and they have these "FORD ASSET" programs all over the country as well. By the time i graduate, if everything goes as planned, shortly after graduation i will be an ASE Master certified technician as well as a FORD Master certified technician, which basically means i'll be making great money and it's also a recognized program all over the country and even to other dealerships (like foreign, european, chrysler, etc.) So basically you can almost be garaunteed that you'll be in high demand, even straight out of school.
I hope this helped answer your question
