If you call this rice, I'm sorry.
Well, I'm going to get tint, a windslied decal, and color rims, and try to update my stero with a subwoofer (maybe).
So if you call it rice, I'm sorry. I don't want to do it but I want a better look than a grocery getter. Not it's not the Ford it's a GM. I'm not doing anything to the Ford but fixing under the hood. I can't put any perfomance on it because there is none that's not in the THOUSAND range, and that's either a turbo or a supercharger. And the sad part is, with all the mods you can get and all the NOS you can handle- the car will only run mid 14's to low 13's. That's not even worth my time. I mean all the money I would pour into that car I could buy a GT or a Cobra!!!! It's not worth it. So I'll be a low slow ricemoblie. [This message has been edited by #1 Pony (edited 11-03-2001).] |

Adding a subwoofer to a car in my opinion is not rice. Subwoofers are for more fully bodied music. The color rims might be considered rice. I wouldnt let anyone stop you getting a subwoofer unless you get like 4 of them and you cant even hear the lyrics over the bass. That would be rice

Hey, you can put as many subs in your car as you like. I'm a bass head, I don't have any subs in my stang yet and I doubt I'll put them cause just to keep it a classic. But some people like mad bass. I love it. I can sleep beside a subwoofer. Rice is putting stickers, lights, and things on your car that make it appear fast when it really isn't. =)
But don't worry alittle rice never hear anybody. =) Other then these people. www.beaterz.com VERY FUNNY SITE! ------------------ 1969 Mach 1, 351-4BBL Windsor, 4 Speed. Moving At The Speed Of Sound. |

Hey, would you call this rice?
This is my old car I use to compete in spl. Spring break nationals 1999 156.9spl The highest score was just before I got rid or the car and system, it was a 162 spl at best buy, I think it was in Sarasota fl. It was either that or Orlando, I can’t remember which. I lost the orignal full size of this pic so it is kind of small. ------------------ James Cox nochevy@hotmail.com 1991 Mustang LX [This message has been edited by Five0 (edited 11-04-2001).] |

Having that many speakers right behind your head can not be good for you! 10 years from now that girl is going to be saying, "huh what did you say?" Anyway...do whatever you want to your car, if you like it, then what is the problem? Two 10" sub's is usually MORE than enough for any person, unless they are in competetion.

Hehe, yea it was just for competing and 95% of the time the subs were not even on.
I really don't even listen to the radio much so the radio was not even on much. The only thing it was for was scaring the $hit out of people, showing off, or competition. It was fun; I miss it. ------------------ James Cox nochevy@hotmail.com 1991 Mustang LX |

No one ever did an interview on it or anything but I have been told that by a couple of people. I guess it is a possibility.
I had a lot of people take pictures and was asked a lot of questions. If you remember the magazine, month, and year let me know; I would like to see it. I know I have had my name in a stereo magazine or 2 because I have read articles with my name in them. I did not do really well in point’s game in the 1999 season because I wrecked my car, ending my season. Had that not happened I would have done really good. One of the guy's I use to see at most of the shows I went to made it to the finals and he could never beat me. By the time I got everything back together I was so far behind it points that it was not even worth it to keep competing. I sold all of the stereo equipment and the car to pay for school. ------------------ James Cox nochevy@hotmail.com 1991 Mustang LX |

She liked it but did not sit in the car much with the bass up. I wanted a picture to show people just how loud the car really was, so I asked her to sit in with the bass almost all the way up and let me get a picture of her hair flying around. The stereo was insane but it was also fun. ------------------ James Cox nochevy@hotmail.com 1991 Mustang LX |

Im going to take back what i said earlier. It doesnt matter how many subs you want as long as it makes you happy. I think that rice is just the annoying exhuast tips and tons of stickers of brands that the car doesnt have. go ahead blow your windows and doors off your car lol.

Actually..... Two cracked windshields later. I also had to have the doors reinforced because the sheet metal tore on both doors around the bold that holds the window track.
A lot of bracing went in to that car to help produce higher spl #'s and to keep from destroying the car. I also went through 5 different radios; they all just quit working. For those who have never heard 160db I wish you could experience it one time; it is awesome. I actually get a rush feeling that much pressure (power). I use to give demo’s at car shows and would let people stick there head in the car and play a short burst and most people would jump so hard they would hit there head on the roof trying to get out of the car. ------------------ James Cox nochevy@hotmail.com 1991 Mustang LX |
