Yes there are not very many cows around here. I have seen a couple of farms though with cows. So they are here. Most of the meat though is chicken that they use. They do use beef in dishes though it is called bagogiu (spelled wrong). The main thing though is defenilty Kimchi and lots of rice. The dog is a vary rare around here a whole lot more expensive then beef that is for sure. They eat alot of seafood too wich i wont touch either. What is funny is they do have mcdonalds and burger king and even a dominos pizza place. these aren't on the military bases either they are actually in town. so u can get a hamburger or some pizza.

the post started off as a Dinty Moore Beef Stew (if that's what you want to call it), now it's a KIMCHI? and Asian cultures course.
Had that beef stew a couple years back. Always saw the commercials, figured it would be good. DAMN, that stuff's nigh inedible. What doesn't taste apparently like dog food, tastes like the metal from the can it was stored in just leaked right into the stew to enhance the flavor. Felt like I was on dog kennel rations. ACK. |

Isn't it funny how some threads start out as one thing and end as another...isn't that called sidetracked? dinty moore beef stew sucks.right up there with the corned beef in a can...kind of like hood in a can.. fender in a can.. roof in a can... and it will hold body parts together. beeeeleive that

I don't know about the stew but....
I once had roast beef that tasted like sh*t smell's! No kidding the whole group was quietly looking at the beef tring to figure out what exactly could possibly discribe it, when this little guy guy said "hey this tastes like sh*t smells!" he was right.

My friends and I have always joked about that stuff as dog food. I used to eat it sometimes, its not all that bad, you just gotta ignore the dog food taste. haha

KIMCHI is fermented cabbage with lots of spicy kick! We rag on one of my friends here at culinary school all the time because he is from Korea. Every think Jaie does is "kimchi " something or other...ex. Jaie's gonna give her some of his Kimchi love'n!! Oh well, we are weird. Eat enough of that sh#t and you'll forget about the taste because you will be soooooooooo F'd up!
