I posted a reply last nite, but I'm a slow typer , got an error page!
GRRRR!!! We had an awesome time. I'm ready to go back and take my Stang and see what it will do. The smell of burning rubber and gasoline and the roar of the engines, I think I'm addicted. Was great getting to meet Lee(gt lee), Marty(crazy horse gt) and James(Old Guy with an 87). I got a few good pics of them I'll post soon. Had my mom's digital camera and didn't have much luck with most of the pictures. Me and machines just don't mix! The wreck happened right in front of my husband and I. Man, that just sucked! He got to spinning around and I was hoping he would get it under control and avoid the wall. Didn't happen. Trashed the back end. I was feeling for the guy. Congrats fiveohpatrol. That was to cool you winning the the grand prize. |

Glad to see everyone had a great time and I couldn't go. =( But I went to track (Cayuga) not far from the US/Canadian Border. It was pretty nice, alot of 5.0L's and stuff. It was for Mustangs, and there was a competition Fords vs GM's vs Chrystler. So alot of nice stuff was there. Alot of fast cars, all in the 8's, 9's, and 10's and a few higher of course and the odd lower ones too. Glad to see a few MW's folks showed up, and took home the grand prize (CONGRATS FIVEOHPATROL!!!). I will be down next year hopefully. Hope for my car to be more towards the stage of completition for the most part. §am.

heheh, yes sam, i guess i am an old hippy, but i let my hair grow since my mom died, so it's an indian thing now, it was all ford's 99 percent stang's - 1 lincoln mark 7 sc & an ac cobra, a few lightning's too , tnt odie has banned me from kid rock , plus kelly & hubby had to leave, as we did too, james= o.g. invited us to go have a brew at his hotel, but i could tell he needed sleep bad. it was fun, i wish we could all get together, it would be so cool. congrats again to five oh patrol. nice car dude, & fast, l8ter. crazy.

Write a reply, but before you post it, click the little Browse button right above the one that says "Submit Reply". A window will open showing your folders and such on your computer. Just go through it until you find the pic you want to post, and select it. It's name will appear in the text field next to the Browse button. Then hit Submit Reply.
That's it! Take care, ~Chris

Here is Marty and Lee's Stang. The sun reflected off the glass and you can't see the running pony.
Also in the background is Old Guys Stang Last edited by MustangKelly96; 07-29-2002 at 08:14 PM.. |

was great meeting everyone ,......i'm glad i went ......i was contemplating not going but said the h*ll with it and jumped in the stang fri and left ..........
i drove all night fri ...thats why i was so tired .......and yes i did fall asleep 10 feet from the starting line (i was that tired).......i worked all day fri ,then when i got done work i installed an aluminum radiator in the stang (been running a little hot latly) ......it wound up getting kinda late .......i was going to cancel and just stay home but was like "ahh f* it , i want to get away for a weekend "......by the time i left it was like 1:00 the drive there was pretty cool ,aside from a few freak storms in the mountians it was pretty uneventfull ........i did come acrossed another mustand outside of lexington and had i littl fun the racing was way cool ......there was a couple of ten sec mustangs .....a radical 8 sec fox ......a low 13 sec lincon ....there were alot of nice cars there .......i kinda wanted to race but it just wasn't real practical at this point in time .........the wreck was kinda predictable ...the guy roasted the tires off the line then held it to the floor the whole way down ......i saw the whole thing ,when i saw the rear end still floating around the eighth mile mark ......it woulda surprissed me if he didn't lose it ...... it was cool meeting everybody ,marty and odie are great peaple ,i'm glad i finally got to meet you folks .......it was pretty cool meeting everybody .......i think crazyhorse and pony power have been members as long as i have ,was cool to put facees with the posts ......woulda loved to see ponys powers car run ......5.0 patrol has a similar combo as me ,was cool to see it run ........and mustang kelly thanks for the pics ,was nice meeting you and your husband after the racing i went back to my motel room ,slept like a rock till like 4:00 sunday ......left early in the morning and took the road less traveled acrossed tenn. .......i took the back roads all the way acrossed tenn. then got on I-81 in virginia ......didn't have any problems all morning .....saw some killer scenery took some really cool pictures of the mountians then ....after i got on 81 ....the july heat started kicking in and my car started running hot .......same as it did before .....arrr .....i just put a 2 inch thick griffin radiator in it ,so it shouldn't be running hot at all .....so i'm thinking somthing else is wrong with it .....i'll post about it in winsor power (my radiator fluid was foamy, and it was pushing it out the cap.....so i think it might be a head gasket ).....well it made it home but i had to stop like four times to let it cool down ,and fill it up w water ....took the thermostat out on one of the stops to see if that helped ....didn't ........but i did make it home ........ all in all it was a good weekend and i'm glad i went ......it was cool meeting everybody ....i wish more of you guy's coulda came.......maybe next year ......till then see you on the boards ..............james
