I think it would be better to have a nationwide get together because 3/4 of you guys live in Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennesee etc. There are only a few that live in Cali that are active on this site alot. (PKRWUD,Skyman, me , etc.) Plus I would be willing to go out there if I knew almost everyone was gonna show up as long as my budget and my parents would let me. The idea of renting a track is a great one!

I vote for Oklahoma City. My cousin lives there, and my Uncle just near the TX border in Ardmore. I would have no problems making it there sometime. It's pretty hard to set stuff like this up though. Everybody has different schedules to work around.
But really, if you want to get technical, Minnesota is just as close to people as Texas, heeheh. |

I say we go out to St. Louis, all stay at the same hotel and all trek together to World Ford Challenge together. I think its like the second or third week of May. That would be awesome, plus alot of people on here would already be making the trip to WFC anyway, so that would kill 2 birds with one stone.
Either way, I'm definately there. And if we go to a track, I'm bringing an extra T-5 and set of axles, just incase. Dan, the 5.0 or MM&FF magazine idea is awesome. Just imagine the advertisement that mustangworks would get with having a 6 page spread on the meet (with my car on the cover of course , well maybe the deathmachine too) I know that the meets are fun. 2FastLX has planned quite a few, with 3 of them held at a track and have had quite a good turn out from indiana and other midwest people. So I KNOW that it's a great time. Heck, thats how Kevin (2fastLx) and I met and have become pretty good friends. thats also how i met the guy that gave me the great deal on the T-5 so i could swap out the AOD. sorry i wrote so much, i just really want it to happen, later

Wow, I'm very pleased with the responses on this thread. Thanks guys!
I would love to have a nationwide meet, like I said before. But with some replies to this, it's less than practical. I definitely realize that, and understand. We at least need to have regional meetings, of course. I don't think anything in May would be possible. That's a little too early, I think. June, July, early August, are all probabilities. I do agree with tireburner in his statement about how it doesn't matter what you drive, we would just like to meet up. That's true, but it would be awesome to see some of your guys' primary Stangs, your pride and joy. I think Oklahoma City is a great idea. I have an uncle that lives there with a '70 440 Challenger. Not that it matters or anything, I was just sayin.... I know it would be extremely difficult for the coasters to make it in to the central US. But I can guarantee it would be worth it if you could make it! Just the fact you're meeting ME would make it worthwhile. The magazine idea someone had is awesome. How cool would that be to have all us guys featured in there!! I'd probably cry.... Keep posting! |

COUNT ME IN!!! :)
COUNT ME IN!!! I flew my butt up to Dulles, and ended up in Rising Sun Maryland to meet MW Peeps..(who there was a very small turn out!) And i only live 20 minutes from GALVESTON! If you do it more mid country, I'd LOVE to make a drive out!!! I MISSED MY CAR!!! If ya'll decide to do it in the summer that would be cool! (my b/day is july 20th!) but regardless, I only work Tues-Thursday and can hit the road. I myself would like a place where I wouldn't have to drive 15 hours just to get out of TEXASS! No WEST coast!!!! And, I LOVE road trips!!! This could possibly be the trip where Topless turns over 100K!!!!!!
How did I miss this thread???? Keep me informed, I'll be there!

The corral has a "Corral Day" every year. They have it in Bowling Green, I think(same place they had CyberBrawl). They rent a track, from what I remember. Too bad they didn't have CyberBrawl, I was looking forward to going.
I'd like to go to some big get together to meet you guys, it would really need to be at a track. It would definitely have to have a Hooters near by! I just wonder what it would cost me in fuel... I filled the tank up here and went to Fayetteville(2 hrs away) and when I got to were I was going I had burnt almost 3/4 of a tank |

Where to meet?
From reading this whole thread, I am getting the impression that many people are hesitant about meeting in Kansas. Its geographically in the center of the US.... but it puts it out of reach of much of the population (which resides more toward the coasts)....
So, what if there are 2 regional meets? One West and One East? West region meets in Nevada (Vegas?) in June? East region meets in Virginia in August? I think this makes it more of a one day drive for most people.... and more in the $50 total gas range. What do you guys think? |

Na that won't work, if your going to do that then you might as well have 3 of them. Vegas, Virginia? Well most of the people that want to do this arent even 21, so Vegas would...well not be that fun. Virginia is really far from us people in the middle of the US. I personally wouldn't go to either, especially in Virginia... I couldn't take the truck either... But I know the people from CA are not going to drive to kansas, Oklahoma, Etc....so 3 events seem more logical, but I don't see 3 events happening.

I like Craig's idea. Of course that's probably just because still be in Cali in June, but I'll be going to Va in late July so I could attend both meets.

I think we should throw out Kansas after I've thought about it more. I think it should definitely be in Oklahoma, either in Tulsa or Okey City.
If we're going to do separate meets, we need to have 3. Not 2. Midwest, East, and West. |
