Talking Ran the Prizm on the G-tech....

Haha....

I borrowed my buddies G-tech and decided to throw it on the Geo for kicks. Get this: 20.2 @ 70.7 mph. Heck yeah!!

Oh, and I ran the Stang on it as well. I had just driven 30 miles to his house on a 90+ degree day, and the car was running hot (darn underdrives). I waited for a few cars to clear on the county road and pulled out. I leveled the meter and then went just off idle around 1600-1700 rpm manually shifting.

Ran a 13.7 @ 105.4 compared to a prior best of 14.01 @ 101 on a much nicer and cooler day. The things that have changed have been underdrives, the Lentech valve body, and a tranny rebuild. That equates to around 13.3 @ 110 at sea level.

I would have run some more numbers that night after things cooled off (ran in the hottest part of the day), but unfortunately, my stock 130,000 mile + fuel pump decided to take a crap on me leaving me stranded in Lubbock. Oh well...time for a 155lph. With plenty of fuel and a new regulator to play with pressure, maybe I can pick up a tenth or so, and I know I can do better on my launch.

I'm curious to see how these numbers hold up at the track.

The G-tech reads the mph about 3 mph high, but is pretty accurate with the E.T..

Where is the track at where you race I might go up there this summer and try it out.

Man, how did you keep that geo on the road at those speeds !
Get a big "Kamikazee X" wing with some NOS sticker's and 2 fancy rims on the back w/steel wheels in the front and you could run 10's all day!
That's some pretty nice times for your 'stang it must be a blast to drive! I'm hoping that my first time out to the track i can drive horribly and still run a high 13 in my car.

So far I've only run at Idalou...just to the east of Lubbock. Small little track, but they give out timeslips when they're not having points races. Usually run on Friday nights or Saturday nights depending on the schedule.

I want to run here in Amarillo sometime. They used to hold the NHRA world finals up here, but the track changed management and went to the dogs. I haven't ever been there, so I don't know the conditions. I don know that there are some fast Mustangs running up here, though.

If you come up and need a place to crash, let me know.

When I come up there Ill bring my 86 prelude and dust your GEO.

My stang is pretty quick now....I will have to wait till I get slicks to find out how quick though. I went to the track on my nittos and spun 1st and 2nd gear and the best I could get was a 2.11 60ft.

The best I got was a 14.2 @97 but I had to feather the gas for the first 120ft.

On slicks I think Ill go 13.7 @100 or so. I would like to try out some different tracks cause the West Texas Raceway Park sux @ss. They dont prep the track for ****.

Since your track is the closest to me I wouldnt doubt if we get to line em up this summer.

Unfortunately my racing funds have been temporarily frozen by my girlfriend till we close the deal on our new house.
