Flywheel
I need a flywheel for a 302 and it has to be balanced at 28 oz. Will a flywheel for an early mustang ( 73 to 81) work? Thanks!

You could always purchase a Fidanza Aluminum flywheel - very nice piece and it's what I have on my 331. MM&FF just did an article on aluminum vs. steel flys - interesting article that shows that aluminum flys are the way to go. Only drawback is the price.
Also, the flywheel will come with three plates - one for 50oz, 28oz and one for 0 or neutral. Hope this helps. E

I personally went with the RAM steel insert aluminum one for 50oz on my motor...

Cool T-town. Just a hop across the border from me. I'm in Columbus, MS. Was over that way this weekend in fact.

just to let you guys know, balancing is done by a mass located at a certain distance from the center of rotation. The corresponding units are oz-in. in this case.
a 50oz-in counterbalance flywheel would have the same effect with 1oz located at 50inches away from its center as it would with 50oz at 1inch away, theoretically anyway sorry, I'll stop being a tool now
