I KNEW IT!!
I have a few friends that work over at a local repair shop. I was hanging out when this kid pulls in with one of these new Celicas. Get this: its painted neon purple with a fart pipe and this HUGE park bench rear wing...
Trying to not laugh out loud so the customer doesn't notice, we pull this easter egg into the shop for an oil change. At that point we start a bet on whether it is modded or not... This was not a cheap paint job, and the wing was definately an expensive after market job... So one of my friends bet that he has a blower or a shot of N2O. My other buddy bets that he has a combination of small induction\bolt-on\plug wire mods. And I go for absolutely bone stock with MAYBE a K&N... So we all throw a 5 dollar bill into the pot... Verdict: We lift the hood and I swear it looked as though no one had ever been inside that engine compartment. He even had the stock paper filter! Why on God's green earth would you spend a TON of cash on a first class easter egg paint job and a HUGE wing with absolutely nothing under the hood? We actually had to go outside to laugh and compose ourselves so they could maintain a professional manner while inside the shop... I'll have to remember to watch out for this killer on the road.... ------------------ "The Yellowjacket" 1998 Mustang GT 13.97@103 "Hey, you weren't supposed to be that fast!"- Turbo Eclipse Driver |

LOL, what is it with Celica drivers?? I mean they're not a bad car, but come on! ------------------ White 1995 Mustang GT Dynomax Cat-Back, Offroad H-pipe, K&N Filters w/o Air Silencer My 1995 Mustang GT [This message has been edited by 95mustanggt (edited 02-15-2001).] |
