Default They're racing already...

Well... it's saturday at 62 degrees outside and I can already hear them racing down the dragstrip. I live about a mile away from National Trails Raceway in Kirkersville so I always hear them. Unfortunately I'm too poor to afford to race today

Thats the NMRA event out there this weekend. You better scrounge up $20 and make it out there, its well worth it.

Wow that's pretty cool living so close to a race track.

The closest to me is Sears Point .. about 2 hrs.

Its FFW here in at HRP. I went yesterday and got burnt to a crisp. I thought about going today, but it looks like its gonna rain and I already have 4 (free) tickets to the Astro's game.

I just got back from the event, it was great! It rained out the last part of qualifying on saturday, but sunday was great weather. Kurt Gallant went a 8.999, first 8 second pass for a Renegade car. Everybody else was going fast too, conditions were perfect. Track had a lot of grip, lots of guys just put the cars on the rear bumpers well past the 60' Billy Laskowsky blew up a blower, put a new blower on and set the car on fire at the 1000' foot mark, that really sucks! Anyways, I guess I should be going to work Overall it was a awesome weekend! ~Brian

If you're talking to me, yes, I drove over to Ohio to catch the event. Doug Magrum went a blistering 6.68 too, but red lighted so the run didn't count, the redlight was by 1 thousandth of a second too, would have hated to be by him in the pits when he got back. and yes, next time you got the chance to catch a NMRA event, go! Nothing like being at an event where basically all there is are Mustangs. Bowling Green was the best last year, the town got engulfed in Mustangs! ~Brian
