Everyone PLEASE Help me!!!!! ! ! ! !
Ok heres the deal my girlfriend was rearended a while back and she just got her insurance check. Well she wants a LT1 Z28 camaro now! No no no no. I'm trying to talk her into a mustang but its a loosing battle. She likes the "looks" of the Z28 better and she thinks its a lot faster stock. Whatever car she goes with it has to go with automatic. Were lookin at about $10,000 or less total cost. She found a nice black 93 Z28 A4 with 53k miles she likes thats $8900.
I mean atleast its a fast car either way, but its gonna be embarassing if shes driving around in a z28! Help me out guys, I need to convince her! If you have some nice pictures of SN95's or Fox stangs like me to them too so I can show her. Even though the Camaro and the Mustang are direct competitors, I don't really think they have at all the same feel to them. The Camaro is cramped, has poor visability, and in my opinion, is just poorly built. It may be faster stock, but the LT-1 is shoehorned in like nobodys business, it's a ***** to work on from everything I've ever seen posted.
Here's a pid of a GT I'd like to own! |

I hate to do this cause I love that car, but it is for sale in Des Moines IA. You can find it on www.classifieds2000.com.
The dealer is asking $9400, it's got 54k on it. Just awesome. Sorry, don't know any more than that, if it's a stick or auto, I just love the way it looks, and it's in your price range! I can't afford it right now. |

Ok...here goes:
HEY!! Get a Mustang or ELSE. ELSE being that the Skyman will look like a looser...sheesh...dating a chick who wants a Camaro!! OH THE HUMANITY!!! No, seriously, not to offend any Camaro drivers on this board, I've always found that Mustangs tend to hold up better. C'mon...how many Fox body Mustangs do you see sitting at the junkyard compared to older F-bodies? A Camoro that's more than 5 years old is almost guaranteed to have shakes and rattles all over the place. Heck, I drove a 98 Camoro, and after I got back in my 10 year old 'stang, it felt 100% tighter than that new Camaro. Seriously, the Fox-bodies were built right and have simplistic and classic styling. Not to mention they are easier to work on. And the only way the '93 Z would be faster than any 87-93 Fox 302 is if the Fox is bone stock with a worn out auto. The 302 has always had the 305's number. Here's a pick of my baby.... Skyman...good luck, and remember, you can always dump her if she gets a Camaro . --nathan --nathan ------------------ --silver_pilate '91 GT, Built 306, Wolverine 1087 cam, ported Windsor Jr. Irons, and all the goodies...click the link to the left to see a full list of my mods... Not to be mean here, but quite frankly the 93GT gets stomped by the 93 Z-28 in a stock/stock race. The 93Z had the LT-1 275hp heap.
It's all about going low 14's high 13's forever. They have **** for aftermarket, they have **** for quality, and they have **** for comfort. Still, if she's wants a pile that goes quick stock, is uncomfortable, and will probably never see a low 13, then she can go for it. If she wants a reliable, nice looking, quality car that can do as fast as she wants cheap, then get a Mustang. |
